Could I have a hemroid?
Posted by admin on May 20, 2012
For the past couple of weeks I’ve had; diareah, mucas during bowel movement, small spots of blood on toilet paper and burning/itching after bowel movements. Then, all of a sudden it stoped.
Just yesterday I noticed a small lump on the edge of my.. Uhh… Anal hole? I only feel it If I’m sitting down, and it goes away if I stand up or lay down. I was sort of freaking out about it and I just found out that hemroids run in my family. Mom, dad, aunts, uncles and grandparents have all had them and told me that they too have these symptoms when they have a ‘flair up’
Anyone else with hemroids have this experience?
Get some Anusol from the shop, it’s quite cheap and widely available.
Going hospital because of hemorrhoids, what should i expect?
Posted by admin on May 20, 2012
I had a rough external thrombosed hemorrhoid since thursday, and it was a little painful and uncomfortable to walk and sit.. And today there was minor bleeding, but tomorrow i am going to a hospital. What should i expect? Will i get treated on the day? what will they do? WIll i be able to walk on monday?
Depends on how severe. I heard they can recommend incision if it’s really bad. Otherwise, expect to buy a donut and over the counter medication. Man! I hate hemorrhoids. Wantto buy my donut?
What is the best treatment for what I believe is an external hemorrhoid?

I am a 25 year old male. i live a pretty healthy lifestyle, exercise almost daily, eat healthy, good amount of fiber in diet. however about 2 weeks ago i started getting backed up with my bowel movements. so i went an bought some laxatives and for the next week or so i took a few every couple days to make sure i was staying regular because i kept feeling backed up (like there was a brick in my stomach and i had to go). So yesterday i was in the shower and noticed a small bump on my butt hole. its about the size of a raisin and isn’t very painful if i try and push on it. I did some research and the strain put on myself with bowel movements in the past week seem to point towards a hemm, what is the best treatment for home? will just using preperation H and making sure i eat a lot of fiber make it go away? I have read some pretty bad stories of not treating them in time and turning into walnut sized things that are very painful which i DO NOT want to happen as you can guess.
Applying witch hazel will relieve the pain.
You could be compounding the problem if you are straining hard during lifting.
An old doctor (yes I know one) friend of mine always recommended not sitting on the toilet for extended periods. Get on. Get your business done. Get off.
I had the same problem at your age and it was mostly stress related due to a family death.
Keep focusing on the diet to improve the problem. Revisit the diet and avoid as much processed and refined food as possible. Check your stool. Is it large and dry? Can you see any food particles that made it through intact? Try more insoluble fiber. The worst that can happen is you will get mild diarrhea. But get it from high fiber foods, not out of a can or jar.
Try to drink an extra quart of water per day. Constipation can occur due to dehydration as well.
No 25 year old in reasonable health needs an enema.
Good luck.
Can someone help diagnose these symptoms?

My girlfriend has been having rectal pain for the past week or see she also has light bleeding from her vagina, back pains, stomache pains, and nausea. I was reseaching online and some of these seem like signs of hemroids, but I would like a second opinion on this. If you need any more information on the symptoms and any other problems she might be having just let me know. Thank you all for your time.
Well we have already scheduled the appointment for monday but just wanted to get some clarification on the situation to see if anybody else has had these kind of problems or suggestions as to what it might be
Do the right thing here and go see a physician.
I would not feel that I was helping by offering a diagnosis on the basis of a few symtpoms without any other info and without an examination. Would you totally trust an opinion offered here?
What is best external hemorrhoids treatment at home?
Posted by admin on May 17, 2012
I am pretty sure I got one and I would really like to avoid surgery! So What is best external hemorrhoids treatment at home? Thanks in advance
First of all I want to say that surgery is in most cases really not necessary and external hemorrhoids treatment at home is completely possible.
The first thing you have to do is to ensure that you have soft and easy bowel movements. You should not strain on the toilet as it causes pressure that can enlarge rectal veins and cause them to swell. You should take plenty of fluids for hydration and eat a diet high on fiber foods. Fiber shows a consistent beneficial effect in relieving hemorrhoid symptoms and bleeding. It can soften stool and increase its bulk, which helps to reduce straining. Seven randomized trials with a total of 378 participants have found fiber improved symptoms including itching, discomfort, and pain.
You can also use a hemorrhoid cream topically to immediately get relief from the symptoms of external hemorrhoids. Ideally, the cream should be used on a clean surface. People commonly use creams and ointments for external hemorrhoids treatment because they help to ease the pain and irritation. However, this is only a temporary external hemorrhoid treatment.
You should definitely not scratch the affected area. While scratching may make you feel better, you may worsen the problem. You can also cause infections when you scratching.
You can also use an ice-pack for external hemorrhoid treatment at home. (You can also take ice bath but it is a bit hardcore) This works miracles as it shrinks them and it can be very useful especially in easing pain caused by prolapsed hemorrhoids. Wrap a bag of ice-cold vegetables or some ice in a piece of cloth and then lie down at a slight angle for around twenty minutes. Do this procedure three times daily and make sure each session is about 20 minutes. This can also ease anal itching quite effectively.
Hope this helps and best of luck to you.

Hemorrhoids question?
Posted by admin on Feb 6, 2012
Hi I have had a hemorrhoid since my pregnancy last year .. I have all the obnoxious symptoms from them and have brought the topic up to my DR she said it would go away on their own but I have noticed its actually gotten bigger and is like I guess prolapsed now it’s about the size of a grape almost and I also noticed I have an anal fissure.. I just want to know if there is some kind of surgery I can have to remove these bothersome issues?? I have tried home treatments nothing helps!!
Absolutely! There are several surgeris you can have. A lot of docs will ask you to try other things first, like staying hydrated and eating lots of fiber.
Do people with leukemia ALWAYS have high white blood counts?
Posted by admin on Feb 2, 2012
I have been having health issues for about 1 year now. I have lost 45lbs, I have been having angina-like chest pains off and on (feels like I have a 5lb weight sitting on the middle of my chest and makes me have adrenaline surge feelings like Im going to pass out occasionally, but more so when Im resting than exercising), I have had severe headaches on occasion, I had bleeding from my rectum (bright red), I have dizziness or adrenaline surges on occasion, and I am bruising easier than usual (even though I have fair skin and have always bruised to a degree).
To put the weight in to perspective I have gone from 5’9", slightly overweight @ 178lbs, size 10 female, to a 5’9", ‘needing to gain weight, friends tell me @ 134lbs, size 4. I eat 3 small meals per day and am not horribly active since weight loss really began to drop. I am 29 years old. I have been maintaining weight for about 3 months now @ 134lbs.
I have been to a neurologist, cardiologist, endocrinologist, gasterointerologist, and primary care dr. over this past year. Symptoms and weight loss began last year when my husbands job began working him 3 weeks out of a month out of state. It was only to be temporary but has been going on for over a year now. The headaches started about 2 months after he went out of town and every thing else has followed since.
Neurologist has found an ‘anomaly’ on my pituitary gland which we are waiting until July this year to determine if its a pituitary adenoma (last MRI contrast was last July).
Cardiologist said they dont think I have heart issues. Had EK G’s about 11 times (within the year), a holster monitor for 24-hours, ultrasound of my coratid arteries which showed NO plaque even forming, and 5 years ago had a Echocardiogram which showed normal (which is why the dr. didnt do a new echo now).
My primary has referred me to these other dr’s but thinks things might be anxiety related? I have had a complete blood panel, CBC etc. all normal except Im slightly anemic and dehydrated based on my BUN being higher than normal and my hemoglobin slightly low; but not alarming for either.
The endocrynologist ran thyroid, pituitary, and human growth hormone tests, all normal.
Gasterointeroligist did a colonoscopy and only found mild hemroids which he attributed to the red blood in my stool I have had on occasion.
I just dont think a person goes from healthy to what Ive been experiencing JUST because of anxiety. I dont feel like its anxiety even though I have been stressed a lot this past year etc. (dr. said my brain might not say ‘you are anxious’ but my body might still be experiencing it?) So Im curious… what else it might be???
During ‘symptom checker on web md’ leukemia popped up but, my white cells were within normal limits. So Im curious if people can have something like leukemia and after everything I have had so far, it not show up as leukemia yet.
I don’t know about the leukemia, but your doctors are super silly when it comes to the pituitary.
What pituitary tests were run – do you have copies? Your anxiety and weight loss sound like you have low cortisol. That would cause your symptoms. Is your BP low?
The tests for low cortisol include cortisol, ACTH, renin, aldosterone, dhea sulfate, potassium, sodium as a basic…
There are lots of tests for pituitary – and if they are not done at the right time and done correctly, you can appear ok. I know – I have pituitary issues myself and lab error held me back for years.
Piles/Hemorrhoids Treatment?
Posted by admin on Feb 2, 2012
I’m a man in my early fifties and have had piles or hemorrhoids for the last several years. It’s not a real bad case as with many people but I hate having to use Prep H every time I have a flare up. Usually, I have an occurrence about 6-8 times a year and it’s literally a pain in the rear but the thing that bugs me most is it’s messy. Yuk ! The Doc wants to slice and dice but no way. Anybody got any home remedies or suggestions that work ? If you can freeze off a wart, why not a pile ? Thanks.
My father has recently had good luck with a regimen that he bought online that seems to be helping him. I don’t know exactly what it is, but it is diet and home remedies combined. I emailed him and asked him and he sent me back this link: http://hemorrhoids48hourcure.com/. I know that he tried a lot of things over the years, but he seems to be pleased with what he is doing, and not so crabby, so it must be working. Wish I could offer more suggestions but give it a try. It certainly can’t hurt, and according to him, it is relatively easy and works.
Question about cancer?im scared :(?
Posted by admin on Jan 22, 2012
My mum was diagnosed with cancer 2yr ago.
she recently went to the docs about having one symptom of bpwel cancer.she hoped it was hemroids. The doc said it prob waas (because she had more symptoms of hemroids then bowel cancer) but shes reffeering her for tests "to be on the safe side" because my grandad had bowel cancer. Sadly he died 3yr ago as it spread ![]()
Im so scared for my mum
but on the other hand i heard that breast cancer goin to bowel is VERY rare.
Is that true? Is it very rare?? Also can they cure secondrt breast cancer?
Im so scared&worried atm ![]()
Cancer is scary, but this does sound like they’re just being on the safe side.
Talk to your mum about it as much as you can. Tell her you’re scared – she’ll understand, and may be able to tell you a bit more about what the doctor sadi and exactly what’s going on.
You can also call Macmillan Cancer Support, who have a free helpline 0808 808 00 00 where you can talk to someone who may be able to give you some answers, and who can certainly listen to how you’re feeling and help you figure things out.

Home treatment of hemorrhoid?
Posted by admin on Jan 22, 2012
sitz bath is not working for me and I am not satisfied with its results.
Sitz bath is just to make yourself comfortable and to relive hemorrhoid pain temporary. It is not a permanent treatment of hemorrhoid.
Don’t worry hemorrhoid can be cured naturally at the comfort of your house with natural remedies.
There are many way to cure hemorrhoid naturally, but the proven one and easy home remedy for hemorrhoid is the site which is below. I have used them and I was successful in curing my external hemorrhoids permanently. It is a dedicated site only for hemorrhoids. You will be cured for sure. I hope you can get cured within one week. Good Luck.

colon cancer vs. hemroids?
Posted by admin on Jan 16, 2012
I am wondering, my husband has had rectal bleeding for almost three years now. He has assumed that it was hemeroids. Am really wondering why it would last so long. I finally got him to bring it up to his dr. the last visit. Reply was, well could be cancer but probably just hemeroids. And if it is cancer, the good part is, that type is really slow progressing. I’m really concerned about this. My sister in law died of colon cancer a few years back. Cancer runs very heavy in his family. Several siblings have died from it and his mother died from it.
I’m wondering, are there any symptoms that could distinguish between the two maybe to put my mind at ease a little until I can find him a Dr. who will actually take this seriously. Thanks.
By the way, he doesn’t have the normal symptoms of hemeroids the itching and pain to sit. He also has a mucus discharge and can feel lumps inside "canal".
Surely the color of the blood is the main clue ?
could having a seizure cause hemorrhoids?
Posted by admin on Jan 16, 2012
Is it possible that with the stiffening and tension involved in certain types of seizures, that hemorrhoids could be a result? Has this ever happened to anyone else?
Since seizures effect all the nerve endings in the body, the answer is yes. My mother experienced this in her thirties, point being younger people are effected too. Epilepsy seizures can cause these too.
Check it out with your GP to get the right kind of ointment to use, prescription of course.
Good luck
Where Can I Find Information on At-Home Hemorrhoid Treatment?
Posted by admin on Jan 16, 2012
I have hemorrhoids but I don’t know how to go about treating them. I have tried everything that you can possibly try at CVS, Walgreens and places like that. I can’t go to the doctor because I don’t have insurance and I can’t afford to pay out of pocket. What should I do next? Is there any at-home remedies that work?
If Preparation-H doesn’t work, you are going to need a doctor. No home remedies are going to work when Prep-H doesn’t.
Someone who is a GP or Doctor please answer!!?

When i stick my finger up my vagina, i expect it to be a clear route (ie. the penis goes up there and nothing should block it until it gets to the top). However when i feel around there are large lumps and bumps, maybe 1 or 2…probably the size and texture of an eye ball. I know thats a wierd comparison, but they are around that size. When i have asked this question before everyone says either "oh relax its just your cervix" or "omg!! its a lump go to the doctor ASAP!!". Im not really sure what to believe becuase it doesnt hurt at all when i poke the lumps. The only other symptoms i have are that for the past few months i have had a few hemroids around the anus, but with change to a more fibre rich diet they have pretty much (touch wood) cleared up.
Im not embaressed to go and see a doctor, because i know they see vaginas every day..but i dont want to say to my mum "ive been sticking my fingers up my vagina, and i want the doctor to check its my cervix".
Please help ![]()
No, it’s NOT your cervix. It would hurt a little if you touched your cervix.
The lumps and bumps are perfectly normal. Your g-spot is hidden behind that first one.
